Why I know about Retirement?

After a career as a Project Manager, a Technical Writer, and starting several successful small business I retired at 62. My plan was to build a wooden sailboat and concentrate on my writing projects. Short tech writing projects kept coming up and kept me busy until I turned 70 when I finally and fully, finally retired. I filled the next 11 years with travel trailer camping and as a freelance writer.

Friends who were planing on retirement would often ask me about the transition from working to retirement. Since every person's retirement should be designed to fit them there was no one-size-fits-all answer.
